Made by Dipali Gupta, Desire Lines explores female sexuality through the architectural concept of "trampled paths" that deviate from planned designs. These works navigate social heterosexual norms by subverting traditional perceptions of sex, desire and pleasure. Blending body and machine into a feminine assemblage, the art uses abstract expressionism and eroticism to deconstruct historical ideas of objectification and sensuality. This series reclaims desire through a "cyborg" lens, disrupting practices to reclaim female agency and identity.
